The article refers to a small area in Australia that was under threat of loosing its beauty to coal mining. The people of the town that was under threat feared the negative changes to the home they loved. There are however, countless proven psychological conditions caused by the environment. Still, Solastalgia is interesting form the standpoint of how the media’s portrayal of environmental threats is affecting society’s mental well being.
