I feel like that is definitely true. For me, I know that I always repress bad memories, and I try to forget them, and am very uncomfortable when they resurface. I feel like for me, and a lot of people this is a defense mechanism to help them get over something they've been through. Although I undertand why this could be a defense mechanism, I don't really think it is the best thing to do, but a hard thing to over come. I feel a lot better when I confront my problems, I obviously feel a lot better, but they don't come back to me or bother me.

I agree, for memy bad memories, are just blocked by all the immediacy of my actions. So although I might have a bad memory, I try to block it as muc h as possible by keeping myself so busy.

bad memories fad because we force ourselves to forget them. Thats why bad memories are so traumatic because it takes alot to be able to visually remember these bad memories.
