Personality Test, for fun

AMPM Personality Test on Psychology Today

I figured i'd try one of those psychology today personality tests, it seemed like a fun idea and i had some time to kill during break, so I took the AMPM Personality test. The questions were pretty much what I expected, and only about 30. Not that many questions, in my opinion, to really give an accurate concept of my personality. My results were:

"You are extroverted, preferring the company of others rather than spending time alone. Extroversion refers to an outward and interactive orientation. Extroverts are stimulated by being around others and are often considered gregarious or outgoing. People with this orientation usually have a lot of friends, and find it easy to interact with strangers. They tend to feel lonely and withdrawn when denied the company of others. When extroverts feel bad, low on energy, or stressed, they look outside themselves for relief. They might go shopping, call friends to come over, or arrange a party."

I wasn't surprised about that result because from the questions that were asked, I could tell which end of the spectrum I was on. I know that I enjoy the company of others, that I would prefer to hang out with people when I am upset, down etc, and that I like meeting new people. I was amused by the question " If you were seated on a crowded bus and noticed an elderly person standing, would you give up your place?" with the answers being " of course, probably, it would depend, probably not, it wouldn't even occur to me". I answered honestly, but still, it's an obvious questioned about selfishness, and putting one's self before others. I could easily answer this test with one particular result in mine, if I wanted to, it's like a logic puzzle. Only not very puzzling.

The truth!
their are times when i need my space and times i feel so lonely i find something to do or even people to visit.
HERE MY RESULT:

Snapshot Report
Extroversion
54
You scored somewhere in the middle between introversion and extroversion, which means that you draw characteristics from both ends of the spectrum. Sometimes, you need time to yourself, preferring to think things through on your own. Other times, you enjoy interacting with others. Overall, you are likely a fairly outgoing person who occasionally opts for solitude. You likely need a balance of alone time and time with others in your life because you can become a little overwhelmed if you ignore the introverted side of yourself.

Lily, see if you can find the Myers-Briggs knock-off online (and post it). I think you'll find it more involved.

Isba, expand on your results. What do you think? rw

Lol Lily things like this are fun to take and it's amusing to see the answers, though online stuff like this tends to be false half the time. More official looking sites like this -usually- would give a better quality/more truthful answer, as I agreed more than 75% to the answer I got, but I'm still skeptical.

I got the same result as Isba, scoring a 51. I also agree with Lily, there were too few questions to really grasp one's personality, though they were chosen well, to detect one's selfishness, feelings, ability to socialize, etc. etc.

I do not believe any of the results that are given from this test or any other test that tests personality. As we all know it is very difficult to find official sites, and while they may be "official looking", they still are not legit. Its a usually just for you to look at the advertisements or some other sort of promotion. These tests should be exactly what Lily labeled them..."for fun" since they are very entertaining.
