Every week I make sure I watch atleast 10 minutes of this show. I think this show is a great idea because it it gives people with mental retardation confidence that they are excepted. The other day I was watching it with my friend and he stated that " he doesnt understand why they would put this show on television. They are going to get made fun of". I had to tell him what I thought about it. I think that it would be cruel and immature if someone would do that. In class we discussed that some individuals might get frightened or scared when around a person who is suffering from mental retardation. I feel like people that have the think like that need to understand and read more about it. There is no reason why someone should feel like they should avoid them. In most cases people who are mentally retarted are harmless and sweet. I have an uncle suffering from Downs syndrome. He is very kind and peaceful. He would never hurt anyone. So before judging and stererotyping people should open their minds.
