Good Mood Affects Working Memory

Psychologists have discovered that being in a good mood decreases the brain's working memory. When you are having a good time, you may not be able to remember things as well as you would otherwise. The cause of this is due to positive moods negatively effect working memory storage capacity.
Although it is believed that this experiment was accurate, I have my doubts. The test was simplistic since it only consisted of two groups watching two different videos. The first group watched a stand up comedian which heightened their moods, whereas the second group watched a video on flooring leaving their moods unchanged. Following the videos each group was given a memory test. I find it hard to believe that watching a short video can truly effect someone's mood. Despite the fact that is was published in a journal, the fact that it only produced the results of the first group performing "slightly worse" in the task, is not convincing.
