It is interesting that most of these cases in the article are related to the desire to mate and ensure reproduction during the reproductive years because of the device in the human mind that creates this need to keep the population going. It is so strong and embedded into our genes that it has survived years of evolution and is still growing strong despite the obvious change in out situation as humans. Whereas it was once a great concern to keep our population striving against external dangers, we now have a firm community. For instance, a woman once felt drawn towards a large man for safety and protection, that is clearly no longer the issue. Our sexuality has remained unchanged when everything else clearly has. I enjoyed reading this article and now feel enlightened to why I enjoy staring at my blond girlfriend.
