http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6216913.stm

This article says there is three parts of our brain were activated; the left side is cortex, the left precuneus and the bhind of right is cerebullum. These brain is involved in the imaging of body movements and suggesting that when brain is thinking about future, it does distinct movements that will happen at that point. This phenomenon called Brain activated.
This article is very interesting and let us know how memory is made up. Because these phenomenon is happened in our brain, we can have memory and we can remember what we did.

This article was interesting. Also, as your title, it was really surprise thing that we could know how brains plot the future by scanning.
And especially, this comment was interesting, too. 'The researchers wrote: "Perhaps one of the most adaptive capacities of the human mind is the ability to fashion behaviour in anticipation of future consequences.
"Much of our everyday thought depends on our ability to see ourselves partaking in future events."' (from the article)
