Meditation that Connects Emotions

By meditation children can be thought how to use their mind. Meditation and the power of connecting with emotions make the child develop and nurture certain emotions and situations. Meditation becomes a part of the parenting process where a healthy meditation helps children expand their heart to others and makes children develop positive emotions. As an example ‘loving-kindness’ meditation orients children to send positive energy to the other children, parents and animals around the world.
A mother who has two daughters helps her girls go through the ‘loving-kindness’ meditation every night by saying that they should close their eyes (if it is more comfortable that way) and makes them think of something that they really love and makes sure that the they really feel that feeling. This love can be towards anything such as a puppy or a friend. Then she makes them picture this energy as a ball that they are going to be sending out and make others feel loved. She makes them send this ball of love to others such as grandparents, parents, pets, friends, neighbors and so on. Then she makes them send this love to kids that are hungry, sad, sick and at need for love all around the world, especially to the countries that are in need for extra love right now. She keeps reminding her girls that they are really good at this and says that they are amazing people that are full with love, light and power.  By being said that they are so good at this and they are amazing children want to repeat what they are doing. This meditation process also helps children to understand the people who have been in recent tragedies. They send extra love to the people in Japan that has been affected by the tsunami and also sends positive emotions to Libya.
This kind of meditation helps children see how strong they can be and how they can use this power to send out good forces. They basically develop the ability to use their minds. However parents have to develop some characteristics before starting to teach the meditation to their kids. They should never force their children in doing something. If the kid is tired and do not want to do the meditation that night they should not force them to do so. They should also practice it on their own and become comfortable reflecting it to their children. Also every parent has a way of teaching and every child has a way of learning. Parent should consider this aspect and find a way to communicate in the right way with their children. This practice of meditation could be by drawing or be done by before going to bed. I believe that it is important that parents have these qualities since if they can’t really become a part of the process their children would not develop this as a habit. For me, even the parents voice while giving directions is an important matter. It would create a peaceful environment that the children would want to become a part of.
I believe that this deeper strength will help develop a child’s characteristic and will reflect its adult development. It will make the child want to become a part of a more peaceful and serene environment which will lead them to wanting to creating one. However, the effects of this kind of meditation can be seen by creating an experiment and comparing people’s lifestyles and their responses to certain situations to the ones that have been raised with these practices and the ones who have not. This kind of meditation given in their childhood would not make the individual forget about loving, kindness which I believe will lead them to become a more understanding and a forgiving person.
