Gage and Frontal Lobes
The Frontal Lobes of the brain are believed to control such simple tasks as folowign through with plans and being able to think creatively. The Rod was believed to have entered thru his left side of his face, and exit through the top. Those who knew Gage said his mannerism were abnormal. I belive that anyone who had sustained an injury like this would hve some brain damage,whetherit be small or large, there is still alot of damage.

I thought this story was really interesting too. The fact that he was comepletely fine, not mental retardation or severe complications after a rod went through his head is phenomenal in and of itself. The fact that the only thing that changed were personality traits from where the placement of the rod hit is so strange, and it's wild to think like certain trauma can have such effects. Even things much more common, like strokes - can change the effects of personality if severe enough.
this was a supernatural miracle, that was meant to happen in order to move the process of science along.
